I love Saturdays...

I can't believe that it's 5pm already, but I'm happy nevertheless, because I've had a really nice day.

My week was quite long. The days dragged, probably due to the fact that I didn't have too much going on at work. That would usually be a good thing, but when you're getting back into the work schedule after two weeks of holidays, it's probably best to jump back into office craziness so the time flies by.

Last night EA and I went to Lab Restaurant for dinner. It was lovely, as usual. We're never unhappy with the food or service there, though EA was slightly disappointed that almost every main had mushrooms in it. I had the scallops to start followed by veal with spanner crab. Yum. EA had the calamari followed by the Cape Grim beef tenderloin, which is no surprise at all. We shared the cookies and cream cheesecake for dessert. No photos, because I always forget, but I did take a couple in Ryans on the Park when we had a drink before dinner:

My iPhone takes crummy photos - must remember to use the Sony in future...

Today I went to the gym after quite a large sleep in. It was almost 7.30am when I woke up, which is unheard of. I even lazed about for another couple of hours before getting out of bed. Lovely.

Tonight I'm probably going to do much the same as I'm doing now. Watching TV and reading blogs. I will also read, do my nails, chuck another load of washing on (I've been so slack, completely out of clothes) and hang out with EA, if he's lucky.

I'm really looking forward to tomorrow. My sister and I are going to DFO to find her a new wallet (I've decided not to get one, partly because my sister reminded me that she bought me mine for my birthday only 7 months ago, whoops).

After a couple of hours of shoppy goodness, we're going to the Brisbane Bridal Expo. I've never been to an expo before, but I've heard that they're crazy - full of frantic brides and mothers-of-brides. I figure, what better time to go than when I'm not really ready to plan yet? I can just be entertained and not be one of the frantic brides. We have booked seats for the fashion parade, which I think my sister will like. After that, we're going to my dear friend Scott's for roast lunch. Must remember to pack the wine...

On that note, I'll continue catching up on my blogging.

Your meals both sound divine. Must look that place up when I visit in December.

It's really lovely, and what's better is that my work pays for me to go! Fine dining in Brisbane is getting better...
