Saturday night in...

I don't have too much to blog about this week. I have a huge list of post ideas, but I'm not really feeling inspired to write them this evening.

I'm a little depressed with my weight loss this week, in that there has been no more since my last update. I've been to the gym almost every day and have eaten reasonably well, but no dramatic results to show for it on the scales. My body has continued to change shape though, so that's probably a healthier way of thinking about it. Perhaps I should take my measurements and then assess that way. I'm the sort of person who needs to see numbers getting lower in order to feel success.

Today I went to high tea at Joseph Alexanders with EA's mum. I'd never been before and it was lovely. I especially liked the little finger sandwiches. For some reason I've gone off sweet things lately - I prefer savoury goodies. I didn't finish the sweet things, which is probably a good thing. It was lovely to spend time with EA's mum - she doesn't live in Brisbane and we haven't spent much time just the two of us.

In the afternoon EA and I went to our local shopping centre for some reason that escapes me right now, but I ended up with a recipe book, which until this moment I forgot that I even bought. I'm excited now, and I'm going to go and read it as soon as I've posted this. It was at Myer and on sale for $5. I love the Myer 50% of the already marked down price sales. Bargain.

In a bit over an hour I'm going to head to the gym. Going to the gym at 10.10pm means that I probably won't get to sleep until about 2am, but that's OK because I can sleep in a bit in the morning. I just really want to watch that ridiculous Anacondas movie on TV and what better time than when I'm doing my thing on the treadmill. I'll come home after an hour and will do my push-ups, sit-ups and light weights in the living room while I finish off the movie. You've no idea how much I'm looking forward to it.

Tomorrow I'm going to go shopping with my little sister. She got super sunburnt last Monday and I'm really excited to see the damage. That sounds nasty, and she'll probably comment about how awful I am, but she was wearing her huge Dior sunnies at the time, so she may look comical. It can't be that bad though if she's happy to show her face in the shopping centres... In all seriousness, though, I had a really bad burn in high school and I had to hide it from Dad because he'd get really upset with me when I did silly things like that. I remember J sneaking into my room when we were supposed to be in bed and putting cream on my shoulders and back because I was in so much pain.

Anyway, back to the shopping. I've really gone off it lately, so I'm going more to keep her company. I do want a Priceline though so I can get two more Ecotools makeup brushes. I'm madly in love with the two that I have, and feel the need to complete my set. I'll just get a powder brush and either a blush or eyeliner brush. I don't wear eyeliner very often, but I do like a nice blush, so I think I'll go with that.

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend!

Peace out.

I love high tea! One of the best things about living in the UK is it's obsession with country houses and high tea, which means I get to do it quite a lot - although I'm more partial to crumpets instead of finger sandwiches with my tea.

Have fun shopping with your sister. I hope she's not too "damaged" from her sunburn!

I can't wait to go to another one. I haven't had crumpets in years, I might have to do my own high tea at home with them - yummo.

Muscle weighs more than fat...you have to remember that! You are probably just toning up! You look fabulous in your previous photo already...you must be smoking hot now!!!

You will be such a pretty bride because you have been working so very hard for it!

Thanks, I try to remember that muscle weighs more - hopefully I notice that I'm toning up soon!

The photo I put up was taken about halfway through my period of weight gain, I'm not quite back there yet and I still have a way to go before I'm happy :)
