Monday night...

I hope you all got through Monday OK. My work day was reasonably productive. We're overhauling all of the office stationery - new logo, etc. - and so I've been busy finalising that. I'll need a business card holder now!

I was quite sore all day yesterday; my waddle was back after running on Sunday night. I decided to do my long walk again. Whenever I do my walk it will be until I hit 500 calories, or a little more if I'm close to the next kilometre. I'm a little OCD like that. Last week 500 calories took me to 9km, but last night it was only 8km. I think that's because I walked at 7km/hr almost the entire way and spent more time walking on an incline (either 5% or 10%).

I then went inside and while we watched the season premiere of Dexter I did my crunches, arm weights and squats.

I'm really looking forward to starting yoga on Monday night next week. Hopefully I get a lot out of it! To those of you who have done yoga before - what should I wear and what should I take with me?

I didn't sleep much last night and so I'm really feeling the fatigue today. I will run tonight, mostly because it doesn't take as long! I'll aim to do it as soon as I get home from work, so about 5.30pm. I can then have a light dinner, do a bit of cleaning and then have a very early night. I really need to keep up with my sleep.

Better get to work - I hope you all have a successful week of exercise.

I started C25K yesterday and although I'm sore (it's been a looong time since I last excercised) this morning I walked until I hit 5k.

Yoga is brilliant, wear leggings, bare feet and tank or something light on top.

Have fun!

Hello There! another OCD here :)

If you raise the incline and lower the speed you would burn alot more calories i've found.. usually I put the speed on 6.5 and incline of 13-15 and burn 360-400cals in 20 minutes.. Well done again! you're so consistent!

Re: Yoga - It's fantastic!! It has definitely helped me in more ways than one. You find that you are a lot more relaxed and more flexible. It's hard to explain but you really do feel more optimistic about general day to day stuff. I usually do it on mondays and fridays and meditation on wednesdays.

and as the above poster stated, leggings and a singlet is fine - as long as you are comfortable.. but make sure you bring a cardigan or jumper when you relax towards the end of the session because you will get quite cold.

The only thing you would find is that your muscles would be tight because you go to the gym... so it might be a little hard to begin with.. but everyone I meet, i encourage to try it, all the time!

let us know how you go :)
