Jane mentioned on twitter today that she sometimes uses an inspiration photo as she runs on the treadmill. That is such a fantastic idea - I think I might respond to that and so I plan on trying it.
It got me to thinking though - who would be my inspiration? Obviously, it would be Jessica Alba. I have adored her for a million years and I think I've posted on her before. Her style, her figure, her general demeanour - I think she's worthy inspiration.
But then, I thought again. I don't know how tall Jessica Alba is, but I'll bet I'm not the same height as her. I would also bet I'm not the same body type. Trying to model myself on her is unrealistic and I'm doomed to failure. Her metabolism is obviously about three zillion times better than mine.
My best inspiration? Me. How I used to be, not that many years ago. When I was about 23. I'm my body type, I'm my height, and this is probably going to be more attainable.
So this is me now - at EA's suggestion I'm putting up a photo of me while I'm unsatisfied - thank goodness for ksubi jeans:
And this is me when I was fit, healthy, happy with my weight - note also that these are my goal jeans; when I fit into these I'll know I'm done:
I loved having black hair, but I don't think it suits me anymore...
At a friend's Christmas party - if I get to this I'll know I've gone too far
Now for the unrealistic inspiration - Jessica Alba:
A cardi, jeans and Connies - I'd LIVE in this...
Who is your inspiration - realistic or otherwise?

Mine has always been Miranda Kerr. I'm at least 10cms shorter than her, and she weights 5kgs less than I do, and I look unwell if I lose any weight - but I don't care!
Ohh Jessica Alba, how I love thee. She's 168cm, by the way. Same height as me, hence why I like to use her as treadmill inspiration. Actually I lie, I just use her coz she's so amazing.
Great idea using an old photo of yourself because it reminds you that it IS possible! Unlike using an airbrushed photo of Jen Hawkins, which is probably completely unachievable!
xx
Oh man. Alba is my inspiration too!
and Miranda Kerr.
